GGotW: What got you started in modelling?
MV: Back in 2005 I registered in one of the gothic websites where people posted a lot of photos with gothic and alt models. I decided to try making a photoshoot in such style and asked a friend of mine to help. I had a lot of ideas and different costumes so we did several shoots. That's how it all started.

GGotW: What kind of modelling do you do?
MV: I do shoots for myself and haven't worked with any webshops yet. But I took part in some performances and runways that took part in our city.

GGotW: What styles do you like?
MV: My favourite styles are cybergothic, military, Victorian goth and fetish, but I don't mind trying something new like pin-up or gore and zombie-like shoots.

GGotW: Do you get a lot of opportunities to model?
MV: Yes and I'm in the constant search of new interesting locations and photographers to work with. But surely there are much more opportunities for alternative models in Europe rather then in Russia.

GGotW: Do you travel much for your modelling?
MV: No, I've only been modeling in my home town and nearest districts.

GGotW: If you could work with anyone you wanted, who would it be?
MV: As for photographers I'd love to work with Stanislav Istratov, Moritz Maibaum, Lithium Picnic and if talking about cooperation with models I'd like to make a shoot with Ophelia Overdose and SaphirNoir. Their style is gorgeous and you never know what image they would create next time.

GGotW: What do you do when you're not modelling?
MV: I like walking and taking pictures a lot, so I try to spend my free time outdoors.

GGotW: How do people in your remote part of Russia react to your style?
MV: Oh, it depends on my look. When I'm dressed up for a photoshoot or party they always stare at me, sometimes ask to make a photo together. People here are not quite used to brightly dressed ones. I hope one day the situation will change:)

GGotW: Do you have advice for those wanting to get started as a model?
MV: All you need to do is just be confident and don't be afraid to express yourself.
