GGotW: Is there a meaning behind the name Kuro Hana?
KH: Kuro Hana translates to Black Flower in Japanese. I think this pseudonym fits me well because I like Japanese culture and things that are dark.

GGotW: Do you ever incorporate your love of Japan in your modeling?
KH: Yes through some shoots and cosplays. that's one of the things that inspires me.

GGotW: Does your cosplay inspire your modeling or does your modeling inspire you cosplay?
KH: I do not like the term "cosplay" because my look is not cosplay, it's just my personality, my creativity and a mix of lots of things I like. Cosplay for me is to embody one of our favorite manga characters.

GGotW: What got you started with Alternative Modeling?
KH: I started a little by chance, I needed to affirm myself more, I wanted to show my style and my universe. I started as a model because I wanted to regain my self-confidence after having a difficult adolescence. I wanted to turn the page.

GGotW: Did you find modeling a good way to turn the page from adolescence?
KH: Yes, it helped me and allowed me to move forward

GGotW: Is there anyone that you work with on a regular basis?
KH: I work regularly with my boyfriend who is an amateur photographer to carry out most of my projects.

GGotW: How would you say you've changed since you started in 2012?
KH: I would say that I have evolved at my own pace. Thanks to photography, I was able to meet a lot of people. I have had both good and bad experiences. I had disappointments but I never gave up, I always persevered despite the difficulties. I learned not to fear the eyes of others. I took more insurance.

GGotW: What brands are you currently working with?
KH: I have worked with a few brands. Recently, I collaborated for Crazyinlove

GGotW: What other things do you enjoy?
KH: I like animals especially cats for whom I have a lot of affection. I am a music addict, I love goth music and metal. I like everything about art like drawing, photography, writing ... I like fashion and makeup. I like nature and archeology. Manga and Japanese culture. Science fiction and fantasy ...

GGotW: Looking through your images you seem to have a lot of different hair styles and colours, do you have a favorite or is it dependant on the outfit?
KH: It's true that it depends on the outfit, so that everything is harmonious. Otherwise, I like to mix styles and stand out. I always like wearing dresses and skirts and having a very feminine look. I'm also a fan of lace, I appreciate dark hues. For hair, I like to change color, I have a slight preference for red hair, purple and blue.

Amiria Divine was originally Featured in October of 2009, since then a few things have changed in her life, so a whole new feature is in order.

GGotW: What got you started as a goth model?
AD: It's difficult to say really. I've always been a fan of the weird and unique not to mention photography so as a very young teen I combined the two and bam here is me :) The influences in my life were video-games (Final Fantasy mostly) and believe it or not Fran Drescher from The Nanny. She is the definition of a real woman. I love her.

GGotW: What took you from the windy city of Chicago to the south of England?
AD: It was my other half :) Having known him about 2 years over the net, sparks flew in late October 2009 when we finally chatted via Skype and it led to us meeting two months from that time. We just couldn't wait and since then we have been inseparable.

GGotW: Who have you worked with?
AD: Wow I've been lucky to work with many artistic individuals the past 8 years I've been modelling. Here is a small list:

Photographers: Dastardly Dave, Emspace Photography, Steven Ledell, MProphet, JohnnyFlameThrower, VAM, Kevin Thayer, Cannibalized.

Models: Asphyxia, Ami Amnesia, Autopzzy, and of course Duck.

GGotW: What keeps you modeling?
AD: The drive to create art and to create something epic. I love sharing what I can create whether it's photography, modeling, or drawing/painting.

GGotW: How often do you get out and shoot?
AD: It's really random. When Duck and I were in Chicago we shot at least 3 times a week. Now that we are back in the South-West we hardly shoot because he has loads of work to do. Hopefully in a few months time we will shoot more than once a month. Really sucks when you just have this drive to suddenly shoot and just can't. We will be making items and shooting but will not be posted til sometime in late 2011 or beginning of 2012 so you need to stay tuned.

GGotW: What do you do when you're not modeling?
AD: Hhhmm My days are mostly lazy really. I do love video-games so I'm constantly on my PS3 or on my laptop editing images or video. If I get sick of sitting down glued to a screen I end up modifying my clothes or making jewelery pieces. I also love spending time with my husband, Duck, so we are always doing something such as traveling, building (sets, cars, etc.), or cuddling up watching a new movie every night. Oh did I mention we love ghost hunting too?

GGotW: Have you have any particularly interesting Ghost hunting tales?
AD: Sadly I have none. It's usually the same thing, investigate places that could be haunted (usually looking on the net or finding out from the people around the area), exploring and getting spooked by the occasional odd noise that usually ends up being made by one of us hahaha. We are new to it and look forward to exploring Europe's most haunted places.

GGotW: That could make a cool web series.

GGotW: Are the photographers in England different than the ones in the US?
AD: I haven't been shot by anyone in the UK but I have been observing and speaking to a few for over a year now. I can honestly say though they are less creative here and rely immensely on (celebrity) status. I think because it's just such a small country everyone wants to be known and no matter how shit you are as long as your status is high they will kiss your ass and consider you 'amazing'. Latex is extremely common here, so common it's a bit sickening. Creative models are also rare here but what is abundant is the make-up artists. There are very few creative individuals that I have been blessed to speak with. I'm currently in contact with them so it's only a matter of time before I get to work with them. I really miss the States, it sucks here when it comes to the entertainment industry.

GGotW: What was it that gave you the bug to be a Goth Model?
I: Being an artist means being able to appreciate aesthetics. I have always wanted to model gothic clothing in particular, due to the feeling I would get when I would see those gorgeous gothic models online. I just imaged how it would feel to have true freedom over yourself, and just wear whatever made you happy regardless of how others felt about it. I loved the confidence those men and women helped bestow upon me at such an early age. I wouldn't trade my style for anything, it makes me feel like I am who I am supposed to be. Being overweight really hindered any fantasy of gothic modeling for me. I felt that no one would want to look at someone model anything at such a heavy weight. I wore a size 24 pants before, and it took a LOT of work to get to where I am today. Modeling is kind of like the cherry of top. It just puts everything I have done into perspective. It's important to me to be able to see the fruits of your labor, and getting an opportunity to have a dream come true through hard work, dedication, and motivation makes it all worth it.

GGotW: Have you been able to do a lot of modeling?
I: I wouldn't say that, but I have worked with a few really awesome photographers here in NC. I have also been a nursing student for awhile now, I am just about to graduate in the summer of 2011 and so it hasn't given me much time for modeling. I work specifically with Michael Koontz of Aerozz Photography. We do mostly fetish and artistic modeling, but my goal is gothic clothing.

GGotW: I understand you are a looner, is that the right term?
I: The looner fetish is new to me, and new for me. The fetish community has a fantastic variety of people in it, and a close friend of mine introduced me to the looner community two years ago. Being a looner is soo much fun. I love hopping on balloons, grinding on them, blowing them up till they pop, sitting on them to pop. I love the feeling of the latex on my skin. It's very similar to wearing a latex outfit, except much less expensive. Balloons are just amazing. Whenever I go into my room, I always have about 5-20 balloons hanging out. I have to be aware of their location because sometime I accidentally step on them and my cat get super freaked out. The looner community is very friendly as well. I have a lot of fans because most looners are men from my experience.

GGotW: What is the looner fetish?
I: The easiest way to explain the looner fetish is : a person who gets sexually aroused through playing with, popping, and touching balloons. Most people LOVE the popping aspect, but there are popper and non-poppers. To my knowledge, there are way more poppers, and I myself am a popper. Poppers love the sound of the balloon popping, the explosion of the balloon turns them on. I love when I blow-to-pop (or B2P), blowing up the balloon (especially very large ones) till they explode right in my face. I've never been hurt, but once popped like 40 balloons with my ass wearing a thong, and my butt was hurting for sure.

GGotW: What other things are you into?
I: If you mean hobbies. I love to paint, draw, make clothing, I sculpt occasionally..and I am a great cook. I also exercise everyday, mostly weight lifting, tae bo, and I have an evil elliptical machine who I have a love/hate relationship with. When I have the time I go to fetish clubs, and goth clubs..but like I said I am a VERY busy woman. I also work full time taking caring for elderly and disabled people in their homes. I LOVE my job, and wouldn't trade it.

Death Cookbook

La Carmina starts off her new video series on YouTube with the first episode of Death Cookbook. First recipe is for Sesame Ice Cream. I know it sounds weird, but so does a talking inflatable yellow bear, you'll see.

Go to La Carmina's site to enter a contest for Aromaleigh make-up and Gloomth handmade apparel. All you need to do is promote her new video, like we have.

GGotW: What got you started in modeling?
Raven: Well, I have had many people stop me because they love my makeup. i am very creative so I like to try out different things-I hate being or feeling normal so I always go to the extreme. they would photograph me, use me for contests or articles. one day I answered an ad for a fetish model, and was hired. Since then I pretty much live in front of a camera!

GGotW: What do love about being in front of the camera?
Raven: Its like a fantasy-whenever I feel down, or fat, or ugly...I get all "dolled up" and have photos taken. Or when people photograph me, they put you in the dream world-this vision of you that only exists through film. I pretend my problems don't exist. I can see myself how other people see me..that, and it is incredibly flattering!

GGotW: What photographers have you worked with?
Raven: oh god...the biggest is probably Craig Joy. I just cannot remember them all...

GGotW: What do you do when you are not modeling?
Raven: I read, make dolls, cook. I love to cook! Am also an internet, and Myspace junkie (shame!)

GGotW: What is the night scene like in Christchurch, New Zealand?
Raven: There is absolutely no night life here to speak of. There is a fetish ball that happens rarely, Halloween I think, and that is all. I just got a car and I don't know anyone in this country-so I hate to admit I actually have never gone out.

GGotW: You seem to have quite a large following on YouTube, what do you think contributes to that success?
Raven: I think that because I'm honest, and real...that makes people like me. I've watched other people's videos and it's like they put on this totally annoying, fake, holier-than-thou persona when you just know they are not like that in person. The closest I get to that is with my blood videos...but besides that, I am sure to keep it real, and fight for the underdogs and unappreciated

GGotW: Why did you start the YouTube videos?
Raven: hahaha actually, funny story...I had a boyfriend at the time, and i wanted to get him more interested in me because he was very...stand-offish, if you know what I mean. So I made him a video of me talking to him, and I liked the way I looked. I wanted to post it but he didn't let me, so then I put on some black metal in the background, because it fit, and gushed out blood all over my body and boobs and called it "Bloody Fun". I posted that and I got a great response, so i got hooked. Now some of my vieos have over 200,000 views, and they have only been up for maybe a little under a year

GGotW: Do you prefer working on videos or photos?
Raven: That is a hard one. I love photos, because I can create any setting, and look, any situation with just my makeup, clothes, and the look on my face. With video it is much harder, but my personality comes through in a big way, and I can reach more people. But, I guess if I HAD to choose I'd say photos-because I take lots and not have to speak :-)

GGotW: If you could travel anywhere where would you go and what would you do?
Raven: I would revisit the USA, because I miss it and the prices! And I would for sure go back to my hometown, in Germany. I haven't been there since I was maybe 11-12, and I have really fond memories! I want to go clubbing and rub noses with their type of "freaks",lol

GGotW: What would you want to shoot given unlimited resources?
Raven: What would I want to shoot...? Hmmm...That is also a very hard question. I never ever put any thought into what I do, except if I want blood or not...I think my biggest dream is to do something with a lot of highly contrasting colors...like red on white on black...with the pale white skin being the white, blood being the red, and a black satin sheet or something being the back. I would want someone very unique-like overlooking the city or something, somewhere very hard to get to. The scenery here is so beautiful (I mean it is where Lord of the Rings was filmed)...but I am not a big nature fan. I like cities, and lights...like the Dallas skyline at night

Imperial38c"33"42"5"10'175lb
Metric97cm84cm107cm178cm79kg

GGotW: You told us your a Horror movie actress, where might we have seen you?
ZK: Well I just started acting about 9 or 10 months ago and so far I have done a short independent film titled Meeting Mary it’s the classic story of bloody Mary with a millennium twist. And as we speak I am working on a film with director John Montgor titled Zombie Freak. Zombie Freak really caught my attention its about the typical misfit kind of girl who arrives in a town filled with preppies and comes out as the hero of the story by saving the town from complete chaos. Don’t underestimate your so called misfits because one day they can save your butt... Look for that in video stores all across the country in May 2008. Ohh, and I have my own You tube show entitled MAD IE it’s a variety show with plenty of horror related topics such as movie reviews, top horror conventions, haunted houses and a little comedy for all.

GGotW: When did you start acting?
ZK: Earlier this year, it wasn’t something planned everyone around me knows I love horror films and knows that even in my modeling I incorporate a lot of horror into my pictures. So I guess some figured maybe that was my next step and after trying it I had to agree.

GGotW:
What name do you appear under in films?
ZK: Gaby Nunez or Zombie Kitten my short filmed was Gaby and my newest film will have me as Gaby Nunez aka Zombie Kitten.

GGotW: Where does the name Zombie Kitten come from?
ZK: Well I am a zombie film lover I mean truly an addict. I have been watching zombie films since I was about 5 years old. So I though to honor my addiction I make my name zombie, but we needed a twist of femininity and well a kitten is a very feminine animal cute but quick to turn if you piss it off, plus it gives it that old school feeling that I love so along came zombie kitten.

GGotW:
Who have you shoot pictures with?
ZK: Well I worked with many different photographers I have worked with Danny Pin up Master know for his pin up pictures I was lucky to shoot with him before he retired from photography, I have worked with Hot Topic/ Torrid for their website, I have done work with Horror Gorrre film as their promotional model and I worked with some great local photographers such as Mike Kelly and Zoom digital photography(if I missed any I apologize I have bad memory) and currently I been really collaborating a lot with Mike, from A moment in Time photography his pictures tell a story I love his work.

GGotW: What is next for you as an actress or model?
ZK: Good question, on that, only time will tell. I can tell you that I know I will be part of the horror world and I do hope to help put horror back on the map. Not the horror we see today with big budgets and great special effects but the horror from before when budgets were small and passion was big. I mean Evil Dead what a film its budget was awfully small but here we are over 25 years later still talking about it, Halloween, night of the living dead I can go on and on. We need those memorable horror movies back and I want to help in any way possible to bring horror back. So I guess low budget B movies is where I will be for a while. As for modeling Zombie Kitten isn’t going no where so you’ll be seeing me around plenty.. I just recently landed on a few website Atomic Pin-Up and Bad Kat online magazine so will see where else I go

GGotW: What got you into goth?
ZK: Wow, I really don’t know I have always been drawn to being an individual, unique and not caring what society might think of your for looking a bit different and having weird ideas and thoughts. I guess my personality, my ideas my way of looking at life and in no way do i mean emo like people think of goths today. I just like the unusual the original and sometimes creepy as people may say but to me I see beauty and originality.

GGotW:
What is your involvement in goth culture, outside of film work?
ZK: Well I feel like my involvement comes from the way I live my life, am not one of those females who walks around saying I love goth and am so goth besides that I guess my likes and dislikes, when i was younger I use to have the whole emo goth look with the all in black fashion and the depressing goth/industrial type of music blasting in my stereo. Today I have to say am a much more happy and open individuals so yes I still refuse to watch anything on big screen that doesn’t have a horror or goth element to the story, and yes I love the fashion but with a twist of old skool feeling to it and finally I like to just contemplate the darkness and see the beauty in it that many choose to ignore.

GGotW: What keeps you occupied when your not doing pictures or film?
ZK: Ahh well my family and friends I love them they help keep me sane. I also am currently working on opening up my own non profit organization, I remember what it was like being a teen with nothing to do. So my hopes are to have a place that promotes individuality and artistic values. If you have dreams of being a rockstar, tattoo artists, actress or model no one should laugh at you instead they should support you and help you achieve your goals I want my organization to do just that. I also love to design accessories so am working on having my own spooky line of accessories for your not so average female.

GGotW: What makes you unique?
ZK: I think we all want to be unique and we all start of that way unfortunately many get lost along the way they choose to look like the In crowd or they dress for acceptance. I was lucky to never fall of the wagon I dress like I feel I want my clothes to tell a story not to be the most expensive and latest trend. I think uniqueness also comes from inside I do what I want and don’t let that voice many of us hear stop me from following my dreams. And I don’t know many chicks that prefer to drink beer and enjoy some horror films rather then go to a fancy restaurant and have wine so if in doubt I guess that makes me unique..

GGotW: Do you have any upcoming projects in the works?
ZK: Yes I do I am working on further expanding my show Mad IE broadcasted via You tube. Did I mention Mad IE it’s a horror variety show with a little of this a lot of that but mainly all horror and some laughs. Like I mentioned earlier am also working on coming out with my own line of hair accessories very soon. As for films well I don’t have any upcoming roles but I hope that changes soon so if any directors are reading this hello, Zombie Kitten is ready for ya..
