Goth Girl of The Year 2008 winner

We are pleased to announce the winner of the 2008 Goth Girl of the Year.

Delilah

Delilah in her tall black boots with ballet toes
The Italian beauty was featured on April 1st, 2007, but her win is no joke.

As happens every year it was a tough choice for all involved. The process was far from flawed with talk of voting each day, when Poll Daddy was only supposed to take one vote per computer. We'll have to work on that.

The public comments were a real disappointment to us. Some deplorable comments were made and deleted by the Administration, we should never have to do that. We will have to completely change the way the public participates in the voting process next year.

119 Comments were made and over 1300 poll votes, nearly tripling last years participation. Alia Noree edged out Raven in comments but, Ophelia's Overdose pulled off an impressive win on the poll with 35%. It was nice to see that no one received less than 5 votes.

The change in voting format for those of us that work behind the scenes work fantastically as without it we would have seen a three way tie.

Congratulations once again to Italy's Delilah. 2008's Goth Girl of the Year! We salute you right back.

GGotW: How long have you been modeling?
DD: I have been modeling for about a year and a half now.

GGotW: What got you started in Modeling?
DD: Whenever I get asked that question its hard for me to explain. I have always been huge into alt fashion and the models I saw when I was growing up really inspired me even though they were high fashion and nothing like I do now. I didnt realize that there was an alt modeling scene really until I was about 16. I had always thought about modeling but pushed it aside until I turned 18. A week or so after I was 18 I just thought I would try it out and I liked it so I havn't stop.

GGotW: What led you on the path towards goth / alt scene?
DD: When I was about 11 my brother introduced me to The Misfits and I never really looked back :-p I was lucky enough to have someone in my family that had good taste in music. The Misfits then introduced me to other darker punk bands like The Damned and Samhain and then I found more darkwave and batcave stuff. I just knew it was for me. I never even really liked music until I heard The Misfits.

GGotW: Who have you modeled for?
DD: I have worked with Lush Latex They have really cute pin up looking latex designs,
Wisconsin Skinny and Just recently I worked with the wonderful Karen Von Oopen, she has beautiful neck corsets!

GGotW: Who have you modeled with?
DD: I have modeled with a few other Chicago models like Jessie-Lynne, Maya Sinstress, Amiria Divine and Lilith Ave Satanas. They are all beautiful and nice girls and I'm very lucky to call them all my friends.

GGotW: What types of clothes do you like to model?
DD: I LOVE latex. I always liked the way it looked but I just recently tried it on. I'm hooked! I love modeling anything odd and out there, I love any designs that look very apocalyptic like AMF Corsets.

GGotW: Why did you attend the Pontiac Michigan Exotica Expo?
DD: I had never attended a fetish event and Michigan is only a few hours from me so I thought I would try it out. I worked with a few photographers while I was there and networked and met other models and photographers. I'm glad I went and happy I didn't have to fly all the way to California or Florida where most of the fetish events seem to be held.

GGotW: Who did you meet?
DD: I met a lot of random people just attending and a few models like Angela Ryan, who was such a sweet girl.

GGotW: What are your modeling goals?
DD: I would like to work with more designers, that's a really big goal. I've only been in print once so I would really like to appear in more magazines. I'm trying to build my site right now as well. I try to go with the flow as much as possible and see where this all takes me.

GGotW: What print work have you done?
DD: I was in a magazine called Madison Magazine June 2008 (Its from Wisconsin, In the United States).

GGotW: When did you start modeling?
MN: I started modeling in September 2001 - I was accosted by somebody in a disco. After my first photo shoot I joined a few different model forums and socialized there with other photographers.

GGotW: What got you started?
MN: I started with gothic photography, in my private life I've been in the goth scene since 1998, but I also like other genres. I like: Gothic, fetish, horror, fantasy, trash, artistic nude, bodypainting, glamor, pin up... I am very versatile and I love it to show 1000 different faces. And I have a very black sense of humour, I like crazy ideas, they can be bloody, they can be sick, they can be striking...

GGotW: Has it been constant work or spotty?
MN: Both. Sometimes I had many photoshoots in a short time and sometimes I worked spotty. I actually have successfully completed over 220 shootings in Germany and in Switzerland.

GGotW: Have you worked with any big photographers?
MN: Yes, of course. I have worked with : Herr Buchta, Art in Black, Stephan Sackmann, Oliver Marzischewski, Nicolas Henri, Elisabeth Hackmann, Andreas Lehrke, Ulrich Grolla, Heile Mania, Peter Vyge ( Pevy ), Skunk(ed), Tom Bixx, Ruediger Schestag, Der Natzo, Michael Waldau...

Altogether I have worked with over 100 photographers.

GGotW: Have you made any magazine appearances? What was it like?
MN: Yes. I had publications in many different magazines ( Dark Spy, GOTHIC Magazine, Crawling Tunes Magazine, The Serpent ( UK ), Unscene Magazine ( UK ), FOTOHEFT, fotoMAGAZIN... ). In addition I had many publications on flyers and some publications in books.

GGotW: What area of Germany are you in?
MN: I live in the South West of Germany - near Heidelberg. It's in the North of the federal state Baden-Wuerttemberg.

GGotW: Can you describe the scene there?
MN: You can find many clubs here and some gothic shops - the scene in this area is very widespread. And there are some bigger and well-known festivals in Germany -

every year on Pentecost you can visit the WGT ( Wave-Gotik-Treffen ) in Leipzig, in late summer the M'era Luna festival happens in Hildesheim, furthermore there are some more festivals like the Amphi festival or the Feuertanz festival... And you also have some smaller festivals like the Dark Dance Treffen in Lahr, smaller events and many concerts.

The variety is really great !

GGotW: If someone was to visit, what shops would you send them to?
MN: Mannheim : BATCAVE / Gothic-Obsession
Karlsruhe : X-Tra-X, The Spirit Shop, Schwarzwaren

In classical gothic shops like them I buy in the main typical dark wear, vinyl clothing, corsets and gothic styled shoes. But often I buy my clothes in ordinary shops like H&M, too or sometimes I buy dark wear in sex shops.

GGotW: Are there any good clubs you could recommend?
MN: Of course !
Mannheim : Genesis, MS Connexion
Karlsruhe : Nachtwerk, Culteum
Stuttgart : Die Röhre
Darmstadt : Steinbruch-Theater ( gothic & metal )
Frankfurt ( Main ) : The Cave
Mainz : KUZ

But there are many more... ;)

GGotW: Where do you see yourself in five years?
MN: I don't know - but I hope, I can become bigger and more famous. Here in Germany many people in the Gothic scene know my name and know my photos. But it would be pretty cool, if I could be an internationally well-known Gothic model.

And I hope, I will still have a happy life in five years ;)

GGotW: What led you to the Gothic lifestyle?
AN: When I was little, I had a liking for dark things that I always repressed, thinking it was a bad thing. Back then, Romania was just recovering from the suppression of the Communism, so having an alternative lifestyle was something unthinkable. I also loved the perions gowns, with corsets and crinolines and felt somewhat sorry that no one wore them anymore. It was in 2005 that I started wearing dark colours, as 2 of my new school colleagues, that became my best friends, introduced me to heavier rock genres. Then in 2006 I took a trip to Holland and met a goth girl and was deeply impressed by her style and attitude. It was there that I had purchased my first gothic accessory, a pair of lace gloves. As I returned home, I became more and more interested in the style and so began to read about it and I quickly adopted it.

GGotW: What was it in Holland that caught your interest?
AN: It was the open-mindedness of the people. The lack of prejudice and their originality. To me, the possibility of having a different kind of lifestyle was something new, something I would never have thought about before.

GGotW: What led you to modeling?
AN: I was always a "cam girl". Whenever there was a photocamera around me, I would keep stalking the poor owner of the cam to take photos of me or give me the cam to take photos. I always considered it a fun thing, but it became more serious when I decided I want to study photography at university. So for practice, I was the easiest model to use and I started to really like what I could do by modeling.

GGotW: Do you get together with other goths in you area of Romania?
AN: The Romanian culture has always consisted of a melange of different cultures. The gothic style is a relatively new style in Romania. People would have probably got put in jail or even shot for such outrageous look and behavior during the Communism. So there aren't so many gothic people in Romania or gothic pubs. We just hang out with other rockers or people that know we are not some kind of dangerous psychos.

GGotW: Is there a large scene?
AN: I can't say it's very large, from what I've seen in other countries. It's a really small chance to bump into a goth while walking on the street. I'd say there are about 3 or 4 "active" gothic persons in each city and maybe about 20 in the capital. Well there are probably more, but most of them dress normal. There are few people here who accept us and we often get called "satanists", "witches" or "dead people" and we even risk getting beaten on the streets for being different. This is why some people chose to show their gothic side and outfits only on special occasions, like a gothic concert or party, which happen rarely anyway. But hopefully that will change in the years to come.

GGotW: Do you prefer to model or photograph?
AN: Mmm, I can't really chose one. I just like both very much. I'm used to taking pictures of me, but I also like to be the model for someone or take a photo of someone else. I can't imagine making a career only in modeling or only in photography. I guess I'll be always doing both. Right now my main focus is to improve my photography skills for university so I'm trying to take a wider range of photos, but I can't help not to put myself in front of the cam now and then.

GGotW: What do you do when you are not modeling?
AN: Many things. I study for my final exams, spend time with my boyfriend, go out on the weekends, play with my cat and dogs or chat with people on the internet or sometimes make accessories. I sometimes spend a lot of time on browsing through gothic clothing on ebay or sites of specialized shops, even though usually I won't buy anything. Or I'm looking on Deviantart to see what other photographers have done recently and for some new ideas.

Alia Noree is preparing for her first University interview which will take place in January 2009.

GGotW: What else have you been up to?
AN: I've started my account for crafts on Deviantart, and I'll be selling various pieces of hand-made unique accessories.

Metric91cm71cm94cm170cm59kg

GGotW: How would you describe your style?
M
CAC: This is something that has been on my mind a lot lately. I just graduated Automotive School, and spent 13 months wearing the same thing 4 days a week, and nearly the same thing on the weekends. Black pants, t-shirt. I feel like, in that, i lost a lot of the style i had before i went to automotive school. I also feel like it ruined my awesome creativity as well, but that is another story in itself. My mind doesn't seem to process anything more than just a pair of pants and the first t-shirt a grab, these days. Before, and in high school, i always wore black mini-skirts and platform boots, a very stereotypical goth look. When modeling, there's mix of goth, rockabilly/pin-up and just a mess of colors. As far as my current style outside of that, ill get back to you when i figure it out. =P

GGotW: Who have you worked with?
MCAC: CANDYLUST, Tarilyn Quinn, Rusty "Shangri La" Tagliareni, S&S, Kencredible, Blue Box, Anilom Nor, Optimism, Glenn Tuttle and a bunch more... I also have a ton of shoots in the works.

GGotW: What has been your favorite shoot?
MCAC: That's a very hard question, I had TONS of full at the tu-tu shoot in the abandoned house with Rusty and Machine Sex. But I don't know if i really have a favorite.

GGotW:
What got you stared as a model?
MCAC: It was something I was always interested in. I hate to admit it, but I actually did go to modeling school and it was a waste of time. Then I found the lovely world of Model Mayhem, and haven't stopped since.

GGotW: You're a member of SNAPM. What is SNAPM?
MCAC: SNAPM stands for Social Networking for Artists, Photographers and Models. Its basically like a giant photoshoot, as well as a great place to network. Each month there are "featured" models and photographers, who display there work. There is usually a runway show, or a large contest in the form of a runway. There's also model pose off contests, where you can win money and cool prizes. If you live in the NY,NJ area, and you haven't gone yet, you must go at least once. Its worth it for any model and any photographer, no matter how experienced you are. SNAPMup.com for more info.

GGotW: How did you get involved with SNAPM?
MCAC: Through my friend Taryn ("Tarilyn Quinn"), the one who started it all, shes known my boyfriend for years and when i met her we hit it off. I always have LOTS of ideas and we discussed a lot of them which lead to me helping out.

GGotW: What is you role in SNAPM?
MCAC: Basically, I throw all my ideas at Taryn, and also am in charge of setting up the bigger contests (setting the concept and finding and dealing with all the models). Recently i have started scoopeing out designers for the runway shows, that's basically it.

GGotW: In your profile you mention automotive school, yet none of your shoots seem to feature a car, whats up with that?
MCAC: Well I'm not really into that bikini-tan-sexy thing that seems to go hand in hand with car modeling. I have shot with my car, but don't currently have those pictures posted anywhere. I would LOVE to do a pin up shoot while "working" on a car. But no one has really been right for that idea yet.

GGotW: Is your career in the auto industry?
MCAC: I am currently unemployed and pretty much wanna shoot myself when it comes to job hunting. Tons of my friends from automotive school already got laid off, because of the lack of work. Also, I don't want to be a technician (mechanic). I was looking for more of an office-like job in the field, called a Service Writer. But its a job that's nearly impossibly to get. All the places want 2+ years experience, but if you cant start somewhere, how could you possibly have 2 years experience doing it? Its a vicious cycle and a giant headache. I'm looking for jobs in other places now.

GGotW: With unlimited funds, what kind of photo-shoot would you like to do?
MCAC: Oh the fun i would have. I would probably start with an idea I've had forever, but i wont go into detail cause i don't want someone to steal it. Its a take-off of the story of Elizabeth Bathory, with a fetish twist. Other then that, i would put together my own picture-version of Alice in Wonderland in book form. Oh and my pin-up mechanic idea i mentioned early, and tons and tons more!

GGotW: What kind of music do you like?
MCAC: I like different things. None of my favorite bands really fit into the same category. But i guess there all different types of Metal.

GGotW: Where do you like to go to listen to it?
MCAC: My car! I have a 4 disc CD player in my car, I spend a lot of time in my car, driving to photo shoots and whatnot. If i'm alone my music is always blasting. Other then that, shows of course.

GGotW: Who are your top bands?
MCAC: Hanzel und Gretyl and Wednesday 13. Wednesday 13/Murderdolls has been my favorite since i was 13 years old, and that's probably gonna be that way forever. HuG is my newest fascination, and 90% of what I'm listening to right now. Other then that, I love Tool, APC, Cradle of Filth and Marilyn Manson.

GGotW: What do you want to do with your photographs?
MCAC: I am really just in this for the fun and for the art. I love doing photoshoots, i love seeing the new pictures, i love printing them and putting them in my book and posting them on my Model Mayhem. Im not looking for fame here, i just love to create. I intend of becoming a photographer one day, when i have the funds and the space.

GGotW: Who would you like to model with?
MCAC: Mosh, although she would totally outshine me. Other then that, i love my model friends that i model with now. Machine Sex, Miz Fritz, Dogma Candy and Dori-Bot to name a few.

Toxic Goddess

ChestWaistHipsHeightWeight
Imperial34"27"34"5"6'125lb
Metric86cm69cm86cm169cm57kg

GGotW: What got you started as a model?
TGS: I had a waitressing job in college that wasn’t paying the bills and saw an ad for an artist’s model. I have an adventurous streak – I like trying most anything new – so I went for it... even though it meant getting naked in the middle of the woods with a stranger! Modeling is fun so I’ve kept it up. I like making art.

GGotW: Are you still a waitress or have you found other employment since then?
TGS: Oh, heavens, no. Like I said… that didn’t even pay the bills. I wasn’t a waitress for long. I’ve done many things since then.

GGotW: Why alternative modeling?
TGS: I feel there’s more room for collaborative creativity in alternative modeling. In art modeling the artist usually has a pre-made image in his head for the model to mimic, and in glamour modeling people seem to have specific expectations. Those who turn to alternative modeling are actively looking for something different, whether it’s outrageous outfits, unusual models, or intriguing subject matter. Alternative modeling gives me the opportunity to play a character rather than just be a pretty face, let’s me dress and pose and interact with the camera however I like. There’s a lot more variation in alternative modeling so that it never feels like the same old thing. Alternative modeling also fits my personality better. It can’t be stuffed into a neat little box… neither can I.

GGotW: What got you started as a Toxic Goddess?
TGS: I was exposed to the work of our photographers, Dirk Hooper and Robert Henry, because they are local artists. Their work really grew on me over time, and the more of it I saw the more I understood and respected their vision. They also have an impeccable reputation for being great guys to work with so I placed an application through Dirk’s website. In it, I said “Tie me up – you know you want to!” He took me up on the offer and it’s been a wonderful working relationship ever since.

GGotW: What are your quirks?
TGS: I think I have a lot of them-or so I am told. I don’t have a good sense of what is normal and what is not – it’s almost as bad as my sense of social politics. But for what it’s worth I know the following are quirks. I hiccup. A lot. I think of buildings as though they are people and seriously feel sorry for them when they’re neglected. I have an addiction to attending classes on any subject. I adore insects. And I think nipples look like eyeballs.

GGotW: What is the Goth scene in Oklahoma like?
TGS: There are plenty of Goths in Oklahoma but there aren’t a lot of hang-outs for alternative life-stylists around here. As a result you’ll find diverse crowds of those who live outside of the box. The Goths, punks, metalheads, emos, and others are often found together wherever they feel welcome. It works out fine. There’s mutual respect.

GGotW: Are there any meets in Oklahoma or local clubs?
TGS: There are small meet-up groups, but I am not involved in these so I can’t tell you much about them.

GGotW: What can you tell the readers about Toxic Goddess?
TGS: Toxic Goddess is not about standardized beauty or ordinary photography. Our photographers are experienced and educated, and the models go through a selective process to become a Toxic Goddess. Toxic Goddesses are not chosen because they are the prettiest girls on the block but because they are confident, creative, and actively contribute to the Toxic Goddess project in their own unique way. Our photos are not air-brushed to perfection. We’re real people, and we’re out to prove that reality is sexy and lovely. It’s the truth. Someone’s got to preach it.

GGotW: What is your role in Toxic Goddess?
TGS: I’ve been with Toxic Goddess since 2006 and am among the more senior pantheon members. I was a Toxic Goddess before we had a pay website! Every Toxic Goddess finds her own niche. I have turned out to be the goddess who usually gets to play the most outlandish roles for the shoots – I get to play fantasy and sci-fi characters, as well as do crazy things like eat toy ducks. It’s great fun. I’m also the director of the brand-new Toxic Goddess Burlesque! Our debut was Oct. 25th after OKC’s annual Ghouls Gone Wild Parade. If anyone is in town, you should all come!

GGotW: If you lived in another age when would it be?
TGS: I’m not altogether certain that I haven’t, or that I’d get to choose the time period. But spiritual suppositions aside… I really can’t say for sure. I like history and I have a fondness for many eras, including the Iron Age Celts, the Age of Discovery, the Victorian Era, and our own 60s-70s.

GGotW: What would you do in that other age?
TGS: I think I would have loved having been a sailor or navigator on an exploration voyage or trade route, back in the days of beautiful masted ships. I’ve always felt an unexplainable tug towards that.
I’d also be interested in just being a simple Celtic towns person, just to see how it lives up to expectations. I have a strong suspicion that lack of technology does not make life simple and pure, but I’m curious enough to try it out. I’ve also always been drawn towards that culture so it would be nice to be a part of it.

GGotW: What makes you happy to live in this age?
TGS: I’m honestly happy to just be alive. I’m sure that would apply to living in any era. Now and here, however, we’re fortunate to be blessed with not only a living environment that allows us to reach an old age, but also the opportunity to make of your life what you will. We are afforded many freedoms and luxuries… despite what advertising tries to teach us.

GGotW: What can one do to worship a goddess like you?
TGS: Each can worship in their own ways; we love our fans. Of course some of the best flattery is to pay homage at the Altar by joining the pay portion of our website, however any sincere fan is always appreciated. We can be found on Myspace and can be seen at appearances and performances, and we each have an Amazon wish list on our webpages for anyone who'd like to help us with outfits or props for shoots.

ChestHeight
Imperial40DD"5"3'
Metric102cm160cm

GGotW: What got you started in modeling?
Raven: Well, I have had many people stop me because they love my makeup. i am very creative so I like to try out different things-I hate being or feeling normal so I always go to the extreme. they would photograph me, use me for contests or articles. one day I answered an ad for a fetish model, and was hired. Since then I pretty much live in front of a camera!

GGotW: What do love about being in front of the camera?
Raven: Its like a fantasy-whenever I feel down, or fat, or ugly...I get all "dolled up" and have photos taken. Or when people photograph me, they put you in the dream world-this vision of you that only exists through film. I pretend my problems don't exist. I can see myself how other people see me..that, and it is incredibly flattering!

GGotW: What photographers have you worked with?
Raven: oh god...the biggest is probably Craig Joy. I just cannot remember them all...

GGotW: What do you do when you are not modeling?
Raven: I read, make dolls, cook. I love to cook! Am also an internet, and Myspace junkie (shame!)

GGotW: What is the night scene like in Christchurch, New Zealand?
Raven: There is absolutely no night life here to speak of. There is a fetish ball that happens rarely, Halloween I think, and that is all. I just got a car and I don't know anyone in this country-so I hate to admit I actually have never gone out.

GGotW: You seem to have quite a large following on YouTube, what do you think contributes to that success?
Raven: I think that because I'm honest, and real...that makes people like me. I've watched other people's videos and it's like they put on this totally annoying, fake, holier-than-thou persona when you just know they are not like that in person. The closest I get to that is with my blood videos...but besides that, I am sure to keep it real, and fight for the underdogs and unappreciated

GGotW: Why did you start the YouTube videos?
Raven: hahaha actually, funny story...I had a boyfriend at the time, and i wanted to get him more interested in me because he was very...stand-offish, if you know what I mean. So I made him a video of me talking to him, and I liked the way I looked. I wanted to post it but he didn't let me, so then I put on some black metal in the background, because it fit, and gushed out blood all over my body and boobs and called it "Bloody Fun". I posted that and I got a great response, so i got hooked. Now some of my vieos have over 200,000 views, and they have only been up for maybe a little under a year

GGotW: Do you prefer working on videos or photos?
Raven: That is a hard one. I love photos, because I can create any setting, and look, any situation with just my makeup, clothes, and the look on my face. With video it is much harder, but my personality comes through in a big way, and I can reach more people. But, I guess if I HAD to choose I'd say photos-because I take lots and not have to speak :-)

GGotW: If you could travel anywhere where would you go and what would you do?
Raven: I would revisit the USA, because I miss it and the prices! And I would for sure go back to my hometown, in Germany. I haven't been there since I was maybe 11-12, and I have really fond memories! I want to go clubbing and rub noses with their type of "freaks",lol

GGotW: What would you want to shoot given unlimited resources?
Raven: What would I want to shoot...? Hmmm...That is also a very hard question. I never ever put any thought into what I do, except if I want blood or not...I think my biggest dream is to do something with a lot of highly contrasting colors...like red on white on black...with the pale white skin being the white, blood being the red, and a black satin sheet or something being the back. I would want someone very unique-like overlooking the city or something, somewhere very hard to get to. The scenery here is so beautiful (I mean it is where Lord of the Rings was filmed)...but I am not a big nature fan. I like cities, and lights...like the Dallas skyline at night

ChestWaistHipsCorsetHeightWeight
Imperial34"23"35"20"5"4'106lb
Metric86cm59cm90cm51cm162cm48kg

GGotW: Where are you from!
OO: I was born in the western part of Germany and up to now it's the place where I am living.

GGotW: What got you into modelling?
Ophelia's Overdose climbing building in Cybergoth wearOO: I was always pretty interested in extraordinary gothic and fetish photography. There were quiet a lot artists, who kept on impressing me with their work. But, I do not think about being a model until 2007. In a half year's time, four photographers ask me on the street if I want to be part of their projects. Those shoots were a kind of experiment for myself, because now I know my preferences very well.

It would be correct to say that I start modeling in April 2007, since that time I have worked with a lot of photographers, who are interested in realizing my current shooting concepts!

GGotW: What styles do you like?
OO: I prefer Gothic, Cyber and Fetish styles. Many people like to dress in those styles, but I take the view that every detail has to be exciting. You cannot copy styles of others, without loosing yourself. I am mightily impressed with people who express their personality without caring about differing opinions!

GGotW: Is there a Goth Club Scene in your area?
OO: The goth club scene in Germany is pretty widespread. Especially around Cologne and the Ruhr Valley, you cannot overlook the club scene! Furthermore there are lots of well-known festivals in Germany like the WGT in Leipzig, the M'era Luna Festival in Hildesheim and the Amphi Festival in Cologne.

GGotW: What is the scene like?
OO: It's a scene full of individual stylings, different music preferences and lots of parties :D

GGotW: If someone were to visit your part of Germany and wanted to experience the local scene, where would you send them?
OO: In the daytime I would send them to some pretty nice gothic and fetish stores in Cologne. My personal favorite is Cosmic Ware . Fetish clothing on 500 sqm! In the Evening it is great to drink some cocktails, or go dancing in some pretty great clubs.

OO: One of the first photographers I worked with, was Oliver Pietern, it was a great chance for me cause his knowledge about photography, digital art, and paintings are incredible! Our creativity matches together in a perfect way! I am also proud of working with j-maya for a long time now! Our shooting concepts are always well planned and very lavish. I guess we will never get enough of each other :)

Natzo is one of my favourite photographers I have worked with, too. His way of expressing beauty fascinates me increasingly. His conceivabilities of showing my best features in front of his camera are very creative and deliberate. I have to say sorry for all the photographers I didn't mention :)

GGotW: Why did you start modeling?
OO: I always had the compulsion to express myself. That's why I dress in that extraordinary cyber style every day. On top of that I was searching for a possibility to stage my different facets and, it's a way to show my self-made hairfalls and clothes to everyone who is interested in seeing something unique. I am addicted to putting my newest hairfall creations in perspective by creating an exceeding setting. There's more to it than that, I am not just a model, who designs her own clothes and hairfalls. It's my passion to complete the whole scene, put on my make-up and I delight in doing the post production in photoshop!

GGotW: What inspired you towards the Cyber side of goth/punk?
OO: I love the surface of materials like latex, plastic and pvc, shining and glittering materials, bold colors in combination with black. Dominance and arrogance in a woman's face,
Breathtaking silhouettes, artfully destroyed clothes. Those aspects (and considerably more) fit together perfectly. They just captivate me!

GGotW: Do you ever feel that you in turn inspire others?
OO: A few years back, when I was fifteen years old, my outward appereance changed.

It was something like a physical and psychical turning point in my life, I felt like having the insatiable desire to find myself. The individual aspects relating to my clothes grewn up very fast, ever since then, I realized that I am more than a source of inspiration for others.

Hardly a day goes by without somebody addressing me with the purpose to tell me that I am a kind of hope for individuality in this lifetime.
