Gerard Butler has player significant roles in films over the past few years were you may just not recognize him. His first big genre film was the over hyped Wes Craven's Dracula 2000 where he play Dracula, the next year he also played the tilte role in Attila, a made for TV movie. Two plumb roles in 2003 brought him to the forefront Luara's partner in Laura Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life, and as the adventurer who stays behind in Timelime. Then he played the Phantom in the movie version of Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera, and Beowulf in the Canadian co-production of Beowulf & Grendel. His next projects include the comic adaptaion of Frank Miller's Dark Horse comic about the Battle of Thermopylae called 300 and Priest. Priest is deiscribed as a vampire western in which Butler disobeys church law to track down the vampires who kidnapped his niece, but the release date has been pushed from Summer 2007 to a Winter 2008 date.Previous news: Edward Scissorhands
