GGotW: What draws you to the Goth scene?
DKs: I just LOVE the lifestyle itself. The music, style, the people are all just amazing!! Goth comes in many differ styles and I am drawn into each one, especially the Cyber Goth scene. I love all the colors and wardrobe that goes along with it. The music is what really drew me in!! I love music in general and the differ styles and type of music within the scene is just awesome!

GGotW: When did you start Modeling?
DKs: I was 17 when I first started to model. A friend in my senior class photography class had me pose and such for her and she got me interested in the idea. I did small runways shows here and there before doing anything photo wise.

GGotW: Why did you want to start modeling?
DKs: All through growing up I loved that I was so different, and because I was always very tall and lean, they told me I should get into modeling. I just love putting art into a photograph. Playing with different wardrobe, makeup, hair styles, and just being able to be myself as well as being able to dress up for no reason, as well as having fun with it!

GGotW: Who have you worked with?
DKs: I have worked with many photographers, models, photoshop wizards, etc. People who have each helped in my modeling and helped make beautiful creations with each image! I am looking to work with more Wardrobe and clothing designers!!! I have yet to have had the chance to work with amazing wardrobe and hope to meet some designer's who like my style to collaborate with.

GGotW: I understand that you boyfriend models too, do you work together?
DKs: Yes, we do work together a lot!! We both have our own personality and style. Photogs love how great we mesh together. We have been told numerous times how well we work together and how great we make an image appear.

GGotW: You've done some Dance, has it been useful in modeling?
DKs: I started dance at the age of 4 with Competition Baton twirling, Ballet, Jazz and Gymnastics. I also Go-Go for alternative night club events. I LOVE to dance, if there is great music playin' you will always find me on the dance floor! It has been useful with my modeling. I have had to do ballet style poses and it has helped me learn how to pose my body and what angles look better, etc. Dance has helped me with so much.

GGotW: Have your pictures been published?
DKs: I have had some images on websites, one in particular is Fixemagazine. I have appeared on the site twice. Some of my images will be published in a book within a few months. Some of my work has been sold as prints from the photographers. I am trying to get some published work out there and get my name out within the modeling community!

GGotW: Where do you hope all of this takes you?
DKs: I hope that I could possibly get more work as well as some paid work in my future. I am looking to get into runway and work on some shows. I would love to get some work published and just my name out there. I hope that people enjoy what I do and know all the hard work and time that was put into every image I have done.

A few new images from Drusilla for the X-Mas Season 2010.

GGotW: What is your favorite photograph of yourself?
VE: I have a black and white art nude one over a box that always gets a lot of attention, My favorites seem to change almost weekly though, I'm always pushing and striving to do better pictures and use more wacky outfits. Maybe One day i will have one that captures what I'm all about but until then I'll just keep on trying!

GGotW: When did you start modeling?
VE: Approx 6 years ago, and i haven't looked back since. I have been performing for approx. 5 years now also.

GGotW: What got you started in modeling?
VE: When i was 16 i was scouted by a high fashion agency- although flattered it wasn't what i wanted to do- I had discovered Dita and Bettie and wanted to wear rubber and corsetry. I set myself up on a photography website for a giggle and the day after had a photographer contact me regarding a shoot- I enjoyed it so much that i never looked back!

GGotW: Where did the name Violet Eyes come from? Or is it VioletEyes?
VE: I see so many variations of my name out there- Its Violet Eyes and it came from many influences- the meat puppets song, the song "Violet" by "hole" and the fact that i had some violet colored contact lenses and someone once shouted "oy violet eyes" at me- it kinda stuck!

GGotW: How did you get involved in the performance side of things?
VE: Again when i was much younger i was at a sleep over and ate night ch4 had a burlesque performer on it- I was hooked from there and did everything i could to find out more about it. The Pole dancing came at a later stage when i wanted to do something a little more different and the fire just seemt like a natural progression from there.

GGotW: Why was fire a natural progression?
VE: Why not! I have always been a fan of live music and the amount of times i have been in awe by the fire performers- it just seemt like a natural progression to try and step my act up a little. God knows what i will want to do next when I'm bored of the fire play!

GGotW: Where can readers in england see your upcoming performances?
VE: Everything is logged on my website at www.violeteyes.co.uk - My next burlesque show is for the Devolution Magazine Christmas party at the Face Bar in reading.

GGotW: Are you touring outside of the UK any time soon?
VE: I'm always up for working all over- hoping to get to Las Vegas again next year and maybe do a tour of the coast and end up in San Francisco, but nothing has been finalized as of yet- keep checking my website out for updates!

GGotW: What got you into the Gothic lifestyle?
VK: I would have to say the Fashion overall, or at least the anti-fashion. I'm more into romantic styled dress and venetian masquerade styled goth.

GGotW: What is your definition of Gothic Lifestyle?
VK: My definition, well it's hard to define the goth per say, as it falls into MANY different categories and subcultural spin offs. I would have to say that above all, Goth is about intellectual individuals who adore different periods of dark fashion, music, literature, and art.

GGotW: Where do you live?
VK: Southern California, all over. I love the cites, Los Angeles, Burbank, Pasadena, and all of Orange County. I don't ever want to leave.

GGotW: Do you work in the gothic community, or do you work somewhere that you can dress goth?
VK: As in work, I assume you mean an actual job. I work in the Paranormal, Metaphysical, and Ammunition area. I have my own radio show that I co-host with my fiancee about the Vampire subculture and the occult, I do much in the vampire community overall, and I work a regular day job making Ammunition (and I love it, who else can say they go to work to blow things up).
My style has never been much of a problem, it puts people off a bit, but in the end they realize that I am just like them only a bit more elegant. I never felt that I have to hide who I am, nor will I ever, people just have to understand that having a more diverse work place makes things fun.

GGotW: What draws you to pose and model in the gothic style?
VK: The allure and mystery of it all. When you stop and look at a Bud Light Babe or a Playboy Bunny, you see everything. Their personality, sexuality, sensuality, and girlie bits. It's different with alternative modeling, I love the 50's vamps and femme fatales, I want so much to be like them although I know it will never happen. They create a certain sense of mystery, fear, and seduction that you don't see in Maxim or Playboy and I love it.

GGotW: Who does most of your pictures?
VK: My fiancee, it's easy and it's helping him develop his photography. It's a win win situation, I am very comfortable with him. Sometimes I do my own photography.

GGotW: Have you been paid to model?
VK: I'm still starting out, so no I have not gotten paid to do what I do. Just trying to build my portfolio and resume (which is becoming impressive if I do say so myself).

GGotW: What is your favorite image to date?
VK: My favorite would have to be the "Hollywood Dream", it just screams controversy, which is one of my favorite things if you haven't already guessed. So many people claim to know what it means, they all see it as so many different things. For example: The Movie Industry, Porn Industry, Trends and Fads in Hollywood, Sexual Fetishes, etc.

GGotW: What do you have planned for the future?
VK: A coffee table book, I don't want to reveal to many details, but it will be like a macabre fairytale pin-up book.

GGotW: Where can people find you on the net?
My portfolio, gallery, and personal stats.
My artwork and photography
My myspace is

GGotW: Do you have any advice for people looking to model and get into the community?
VK: My advice, don't ever give up no matter what, if people tell you that your never going to succeed then prove them wrong (this includes those of you under 5'5" which is minimum height for modeling). Use your common sense, no webcam shots, have someone take your first photos for you, start on a good modeling network such as ModelMayhem and set down some rules for yourself.
Another important thing, as tempting as it may be, Suicide Girls will not make you big in a hurry. If you are trying to break away from it and go for high fashion, you will ALWAYS have that dent in your past.

GGotW: Tell us about your fangs, who made them and why did you go with custom made?
VK: I knew this question was coming. My fangs, well I had a fangsmith in Southern California do them, he goes by the name of Psykic Fangs. I went with custom because I was sick of seeing all of these vampire character models with plastic, unrealistic, and scarecrow fangs all over the place. I helped him out, got him going, even modeled for his site and now he's a success and great at what he does. I wear them for more than just modeling, they make me feel good and I think are a beautiful accessory to everyday life. The looks and comments I get are good more often than not and I love the reactions that I get out of them. He does mail orders, but prefers walk ins.

GGotW: Current hair colour?
VK: Poppy Red, it was a nightmare to get looking as good as it does.

GGotW: Why that colour?
VK: I wanted something different, I was tired of looking like Rogue from X-men (which is the way my hair was before). I did it mostly for my BloodRayne cosplay and decided I liked it, so It's been this way since October 2005.
